Rose Price and Ian Jones. Ian had too many instruments to carry, so settled for this self-confessed 'catalogue' pose instead! We'd buy one, wouldn't you?!
Look forward to hearing Ian join Rose on some of the tracks on her second album.
Rose Price and Ian Jones are well-known names on the North West music scene, due to their respective associations and collaborations (past
and present), and in Rose’s capacity as a solo performer too.
Ian is a regular at Chester Folk Festival (Full House, Time Bandits), and 2016 was Rose’s fifth year (previous solo festival performances, and also with Roy Clinging’s Hat Show Band/Off the Rails, Chris Lee and Dave Russell, and Price, Jones & Dear).
Ian and Rose share a wide appreciation of traditional and contemporary genres, and these influences can be heard in their considered arrangements. Ian’s accomplished and sensitive instrumental work (melodeon, flute and keyboard), complements Rose’s distinctive vocals and versatile guitar playing.
Over the last couple of years, they have proved a popular choice, appearing at folk clubs, concerts, music pubs and private events. Price & Jones offer a musical blend of the familiar and the new, delivered in an individual and good-humoured style.
